| Pattern Description:
Fitted, pullover, bias tops have draped front neckline, shaped hemline and narrow hem. B: contrast band and right side. C: sleeve tabs. A, B and C: cap sleeves.
Pattern Sizing:
Xsml, sml, med.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Somewhat.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
As others have noted, the drape neck's fold-over that stitches into the seam is confusing (I'm still not sure how it ought to have been done). I reinforced and clipped the corners and used the correct seam allowance, but the edges did not line up.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
My finished shirt fits oddly. I've read all the other reviews in hopes of understanding what may have gone wrong, but I seem to be the only one with this trouble.
My taped neck-back holds its shape nicely (I used a lace hem tape that coordinated) and the back fits well until the whole garment shifts backwards, inclining it to bag around my shoulder blades. Meanwhile the drape neck is more like a bunched neck (It drapes, but under the drape it has bunches). I am small chested, so I can only assume I needed to reduce the bosom somehow, but the area of extra fabric falls between my shoulders, above where any bosom would be. I think a heavier fabric would drape more nicely, but it still feels like there is too much fabric.
Fabric Used:
Thirfted printed cotton. It's a very thin, lightweight fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None, except using hem tape in place of bias.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would really like to sew it again. The back as I say looks great. I've actually put it on backwards and it is not unattractive (aside from the uneven hem). I just wish I knew what to do about the excess fabric that bunches around my front.
Conclusion:
A very attractively styled top, just not sure what has gone wrong. | Buy this pattern for $13.46 List Price: $17.95 Add to Bag |

Your review was helpful to me since I too had trouble following the instructions for the draped neck. Did the best I could and this is just not the style for me, having narrow shoulders. I salvaged by using ties at the shoulder seams which added a nice touch. I wouldn't make this again.
