Pattern Description:
Use your imagination & splice this top using multi-colours, print and plain ... the possiblities are endless. This square cut "T" features a cute pocket, also has the fashionable extended hemline and dropped shoulder. Choose your sleeve length, cap or full length.
Pattern Sizing:
6 - 30
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
almost - the pocket did not come out as close to the center front seam as the picture, so I did not top stitch it. I didn't want to draw attention to it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
It's not a complicated top, so the instructions are not too critical. The trickiest part is the pocket and there is a good illustration of that.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Built-in design opportunities for color blocking.
Fabric Used:
The yoke is a mystery fabric that is fuzzy - like a cross between narrow-wale corduroy and fleece. It contrasts nicely with the purple cotton knit with lycra.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The most important thing I added was embroidery - a Ravens emblem that I snipped off of a headband. This really jazzed up my shirt which I will wear to the office on "Purple Fridays" as we cheer our team through the playoffs.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? So easy to wear and easy to change up with color blocking. I would move the pocket in a little closer to center front next time.
Conclusion:
I love it! It is comfy and cute and I sewed it in one afternoon. That includes pattern alterations, so I am pretty happy with that. front
Cute top! I have this pattern and will be keeping it in mind for when I want an instant gratification project!
