Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
More or less
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't follow the instructions but they seem pretty thorough especially for a beginner. I also purchased the companion which seems excellent to guide a novice through the jacket process. However some of the techniques were not the best or easiest way of achieving a certain result
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The sleeves need tapering and they don't have a lot of shape. Undercollar should be cut in 2 pieces and on the bias.
The BIGGEST problem is the yardage recommendation. It's about a yard to a yard and half off. I made 2 sizes bigger than the largest size and I only used 2 yards.
Fabric Used:
Wool coating from Mood in Los Angeles
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
FBA, narrow shoulders
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Probably wouldn't sew again from this pattern though I like the style
Conclusion:
I've worn it out a lot since I first made so thats a definite thumbs up. Check out my blog for more pictures.
