| Pattern Description: Misses Coat, Jacket, Dress, Bag. I made the View D short jacket with a button front.
Pattern Sizing: I made size 14 according to the bust measurements listed at the back of the envelope.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes except for the added button front.
Were the instructions easy to follow? The pattern pieces were straight forward. I didn't look at the instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that it's a quick and easy to sew jacket. It only has busts darts; no front or back darts. It's meant to be boxy and loose fitting. I did find it to be more loose fitting than I had expected. Also it's a bit shorter than I would like. 3cm longer would have been better.
Fabric Used: A mystery tweed that I found in a thrift store. I machine washed and tumble-dried it and the fabric was not affected. It is a bit scratchy to the skin so I am guessing that it is a cotton/poly blend tweed meant for home decor.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made my usual short waist adjustment and made the jacket a bit too short for my liking. I also shortened the sleeves to the mid-forearm. I added a line-to-edge lining because the fabric is a bit scratchy to the skin. I sewed a self-fringe trim to the front opening and placed buttonholes in the middle of the fringe.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I like the fact that it is a fast and easy jacket and it's easy to add different embellishments to it. If I were to make it again I would tweak the pattern a bit for my body: 3cm longer in the hem, do an FBA for the front but reduce the width in the back, and do a double layer fringe to the front to make it more luxurious looking.
Conclusion: A fast and easy to sew jacket. Easy to add your own embellishments to make it your own. Highly recommended!

Thanks Legal.Dealer! Unfortunately it's a scratchy fabric so I don't wear it very often. I have to carry my daughter all the time and this fabric scratches her face and neck....:-(
