| Pattern Description: Misses' jacket, belt, top, dress, skirt and pants. I made view B, the top.
Pattern Sizing:8 to 24. I normally make a 12 up top and 14 in the hips, but this had very little ease. I didn't want it that close-fitting so I went up a size and did 14-16. I sewed the blue one first, and after sewing the side seams, it was still a bit too close, so I resewed those with only a 1/4" seam. For the red/black one, I also sewed a bit narrower seam in the front and back centers (below the crossing seams), but I think that might have been too much and I like the fit of the blue one better.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Very easy considering it's a Vogue! The pieces fit together very well.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I like the style lines of the top. It could be sporty or dressy depending on the fabric used. The skirt has some neat seaming as well, but I don't often wear skirts so probably won't make it. A definite no for the jacket--who wants all that fabric around the hips! Back view
Fabric Used:Ponteroma knits from Hancocks. The red and black were small pieces left over from other projects and didn't require much at all. A great way to use up scraps and do color blocking.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:The only real change was replacing the hook and eye closures at the back neck. I sewed them on for the blue top, and they would not stay shut just standing for the photos. I replaced them with buttons and thread loops.
The neck opening is not very large, so plan on putting the top on before you do your hair and makeup!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I'd sew it again but not for a while as I now have 2 but I would recommend it.

Nice shaped tops. Love the colour blocking.

These are great. I'm impressed with your end product that came from that pattern. At first I thought it was the wrong pattern. Great job of recognizing the line you wanted and creating something you will wear.

Yea, I never would have looked at that pattern for a sporty top....but it sure does work! I like the color blocking as my favorite.
