Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, although my figure/fitting adjustment for my wide thighs does reduce the impact of the flare quite a bit. I'm tempted to go really crazy and extend the added width all the way to the bottom in a future version.
I'm wearing them with platforms in the photos, which makes them look a bit short - the next version will be extra long and platforms-only.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I just loved this pattern. The only thing I will try to change in future is to add a fly of some sort. The zipper insertion is about as basic as you can get.
Fabric Used:
Another factory overprint in a denim-like cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I lowered the waistband to suit my preferences and widened the thighs and shortened the legs. I used two buttons instead of one in the waistband.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will definitely be making this pattern many more times. If you want really wide bell-bottoms, you might want to look for this (OOP) pattern.
Conclusion:
I am thrilled with my new pants and will never part with this pattern.
Those are neat pants!
