Pattern Description: Cute peasant style top. Two sleeve lengths and the option of shirring the bottom or adding a ruffle.
Pattern Sizing: 6 month to girls size 7. I made the 2T.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? The general idea was the same. I just made mine into a little dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love peasant tops, and thought this would make a cute dress for a very cute little girl!
Fabric Used: Cotton remnants I bought at Sewitup, in Hurst, TX.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The pattern is for a top, but I added 2 inches and made a dress. There is the option of adding a ruffle at the bottom instead of doing the shirring. I opted to add that to the bottom of the dress. There wasn't enough to actually make a ruffle, might want to measure first before you cut for the ruffle. But I think the simple band on the bottom is just as cute. Instructions say to do a rolled hem on the serger for the ruffle, but I thought it was too wide for the 2T size, so I just folded in half for a nice clean edge.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will probably sew this again, if the little girl's mom lets me!
Conclusion: Cute dress or top, great way to have fun with mixing together different prints. Hope I made the right size!
Very cute dress--I love the fabric you chose.
