Pattern Description: Men's Boxers
Pattern Sizing: I chose size Xlg
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Not at first but reading them over a few times & with help here on PR I was able to apply the elastic
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Easy to cut out. A good fit on the first try, no need to modify the pattern.
Fabric Used: I used 1950s flannel for 2 pair & bamboo cotton for the next pair. Underwear elastic in wide.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: No design change needed.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I would sew it again & have made 4 pair so far. I would recommend to others. Of the patterns I have chosen DH likes the fit & style of this one the best. I plan to make more in future. I also like the quality of the pattern itself, the paper & the ease of cutting it out.
Conclusion:
This pattern lends itself well to flannel & if lengthened the legs a bit is desired to use for sleep pants it also works well. It gets cold in winters in Wisconsin & I really like that you can make flannel boxers as well as cotton & DH likes them both. Both view A & B fit well & DH likes them both too. Over all a very good addition to the patterns that I am using regularly. ............Kwik Sew is a bit more of cost but in some cases I feel is well worth the investment.
