When I bought this pattern, I guess it was a test pattern or something, but it was/is numbered 0309 as well.
You can see mu post on this and the version of the pattern I have:
Simplicity 1804 (0309)
She managed to find the exact fabric as the model is wearing on my version (0309). It is a beautiful rayon, lycra with metallic threads running through it. The photos really does this fabric no justice.
I made version B. She ( my longtime client/friend) was very happy with it;; just a little self conscious about the neckline being low...it's low. So, I'm gonna add a piece for coverage in the front ( that's what you see in the picture pinned). Plus, she saw my infinity scarf and wants one made for her out of the remaining fabric. Gotta love it!
This pattern is very easy and very quick to make. I cut it out and had it made in about 2 hours. I did most of the sewing on my serger except for the hem and facings.
Great round about dress or you can really dress this up for any occasion.l |
