Pattern Description:
Very close fitting pull-over top has top edges finished with elastic, wide back straps, and shelf bra lining with elastic. Pattern Sizing:
I made a Large. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very much so. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like just about everything about this pattern. What drew me to it in the first place was the neckline/back straps. I made it as a yoga top and this style allows for great range of motion with no restriction and security. No straps slipping off shoulders or pinching armholes. Fabric Used:
Poly-Lycra swimwear fabric. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only change I made was to add 2" to the length. When I make it again I will add V-shaped gussets in the bottom of the side seams to keep it from rolling up. I have a tummy and hips and this is a common problem for me. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will most definitely be making this pattern again. I think it will very likely become my TnT yoga top pattern. I've seen similar RTW tops priced at $59 online, this one cost me next to nothing because I used left over fabric from an earlier swimsuit project. I even plan to make a pair of swimsuit bottoms to go with it so it can do double duty as a tankini style swimsuit this summer.
Conclusion:
Great little top that will get a lot of wear. Great pattern, well designed and written. I also think the skirt is cute and will probably make it this summer as a quick swim cover-up or casual skirt. More photos on my blog.
