Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? This was my first Burda experience, and like some of my fellow reviewers, was a bit confused about the minimal instructions on the neck binding. So I kind of went rogue, and in my haste to figure it out, have a couple of regrets. 1) I totally missed the interfacing step, so my binding doesn't lay flat; and 2) I should have used my regular machine to join the neck binding but since this is only the 2nd garment I've made with my serger, used the overlock stick to stitch the binding to the body, which mean my binding is kind of thick. And it rolls over. Which is a look, right?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the comfort of the finished garment, and (after the neck binding) the quick and easy assembly.
Fabric Used: I used a soft heathery acryllic knit that was on sale ($3/yd) at Michael Levine. Fabric total cost only $5.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I am only 5'3", so I shortened the lower yoke.
Would you sew it again? I'd like to try this again with a different approach to the neck binding. Would you recommend it to others? yes -- it's a super comfy, easy to wear top
Conclusion: Lessons learned: Approach Burda instructions with care; Don't use overlock on neck bindings.
