Thanks so much everyone! And thanks for the advice on taking a the fabric type into account on my next version. I will have to keep that in mind because this fabric had almost no drape to it.

You did a good job and your dress looks cute. Apparently the way you handled the fitting worked. On your next go with this pattern, be aware that a different fabric may behave somewhat differently. The adjustments you made with this fabric can be clues to how to handle the next but expect variations. Sewing is easy, it's fitting thats a challenge.
