Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, although I made it a little longer than the short version.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't look at them very closely. This would be a great pattern to learn to do godets. There are only 4 so one wouldn't get over whelmed Clicky link for godet picture
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I was looking for a simple, slightly swingy skirt and this is what this skirt is. I used a light denim and would suggest you not use too stiff a fabric as you do want it to move a little.
The waistband is a separate piece. I may add a few inches at the top and just turn the top down to encase the elastic the next time I make this. That would reduce some of the bulk from the waistband seam although it really wasn't a problem on the denim skirt.
Fabric Used:
I used a light denim. I am making another with a mildly stretchy black suiting polyester fabric with a thin silver vertical strip. The stripes on the godets are very nice.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None really, I do stitch the seams down on the godetsWould you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I already am making another and have fabric for a third.
Conclusion:
I will try to get a couple of pictures done as soon as I get the black one done. It is a great little skirt. I was really surprised to see that noone had done a review before. One more picture
