Pattern Description:
A very cute newsboy-style cap for kids 0-5.
From the pattern company: "This modern little cap is perfect for boys or girls. This hat is fully lined and fits snuggly around the head, with a bit of elastic in the back to keep it from falling off your little one. Use lightweight cotton in the summer and wool and flannel in the winter. A smart little brim also keeps the sun out of their eyes. Pair it with a sweet dress or jeans, this hat will go everywhere with you!
This pattern includes two sizes: 12M/2T and 3T-5T and is made with just two coordinating fat quarters."
Pattern Sizing:
The hats fit small. The 12M/2T fits about 0-12M, The 3T-5T fits 2T-3T. I enlarged the pattern by 10% to sew it for a 5-year-old.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This was so quick to sew. I made four of these in an evening.
Fabric Used:
I used a medium grey, light-weight wool coating. It was very easy to use and forgiving as well. The caps I made were lined with light-weight cotton.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added a felt and hand-embroidered ladybug.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would definitely sew this again. I would also recommend it to beginners. It's so cute! And so fast.
Conclusion:
So cute! I wish it came in more sizes.

This is a great pattern--very different from most of the baby hat patterns, if you can even find one. Thanks for the review.
