Pattern Description: Close-fitting, pullover dresses. I made View D and added the sleeves from view B.
Pattern Sizing: 8-16. I made my usual 8 at the shoulders blending to a 12 at the hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? What's not to like . This is an easy, quick-to-make pattern that looks great in a variety of knit weights and is flattering on many body types. My only quibble is that the cowl neck is just two rectangles sewn together to make a tube. This technique fits the easy designation of the pattern, but I prefer cowls made with separate upper and lower pieces. Not a big issue, the cowl still looks great.
Fabric Used: A really nice mid-weight sweater knit from Hancock fabrics. So cozy!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I debated about whether to keep the dress sleeveless and wear a sweater over it, or add the long sleeves. The sleeves won out in the end.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would like to make a sleeveless version out of a lighter-weight knit for warmer weather. I'd also like to try the other views. I do recommend this pattern - it's a good one to try if you haven't sewn with knits before.
