Pattern Description:
Pattern envelope includes this pull-over top and a cute little pull-over vest. This review is for the top. Top has slightly dropped shoulder on long tapered sleeves, front placket

Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL; I made size S. It fits perfectly.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, except I was pleasantly surprised at the shoulder line. It is higher (on me) than shown in the drawing. I'm fairly square shouldered though.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
As always, the instructions were such a pleasure to follow. With CLD patterns, you know you will get professional results if you follow them. Instructions included the excellent illustrations.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the simple lines. Yet it is still slightly fitted, I think. The shoulder sits higher than most drop-shoulder designs and, although the sleeves are plain they taper in a flattering way to the wrist. And I KNEW the placket would be great fun. It was.

Fabric Used:
A linen-cotton blend purchased from Louise. It is Japanese.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not make any changes. The pattern is perfect as is. I did add some sashiko stitching to highlight the lines of the piece, and because the fabric cried out for some embellishment.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This is my new favorite top. I expect to make it many more times. I do recommend this to others. I think that even a beginner would be very successful with this pattern.

Conclusion:
This is going to be a four-season top for me, I think. I love this top!

Outstanding! Your work is always so perfect. And anyone who would use the words "placket" and "great fun" in the same sentence...just sayin'...to me that's an oxymoron! Thanks for the intro to Shasiko!

Thanks for this review. Looks great on you. Was the sashiko done by hand? It's the perfect finishing touch.

Beautiful job and gorgeous fabric choice! Love your attention to detail including the sashiko addition. The photo with the red sandals really brought a pop of color to the outfit, btw.
