Pattern Description: top and skirt. I made the top.
Pattern Sizing:misses, I used the 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?if you use your imagination.
Were the instructions easy to follow?they were ok. see below.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I found the pattern markings for the sleeve pleats very confusing. A multi-sized pattern has the drawback of this I suppose. I looked at the instruction pictures and let my intuition fill in. It ultimately turned out well.
Fabric Used:lightweight linen blend.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I raised the neckline by about an inch, and had to use my intuition again, to fit the bias binding. After sewing the neck edge, I serged the long edge of the binding, turned, and stitched in the ditch. worked well. I had lengthened the pattern, as the other reviewer warned about how short the top was, but I ended up cutting it back., side seam length was 10 1/2." I made a 1 3/4 machine blind hem. I took in the back waist with pleats like on top of the sleeves, as I wanted more shape.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? If you're willing to play with the neckline, and the sleeve pleats, and the fit, I think its a really cute top. I don't think I'll need another, but I would sew it again if I did.
Conclusion: Cute top, very loose fitting.
