|As I mentioned in my other review, thanks for the inspiration, Marec!|
Pattern Description: Close fitting pullover tops with neck binding, seam detail, stitched hems, options to vary fabric to different effect, topstitching, optional silkscreening
Pattern Sizing: 8-24; for this view (view c) the top has lots of ease in the hips, but is closer fitting in the bust.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes, quite
Were the instructions easy to follow? absolutely
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Love the ease of sewing, good fit, warmth (due to fabric choice).no dislikes
Fabric Used: ponte knit from my stash (see story below)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Made no changes. I should have shortened it a bit; I am already working on a different version using more novel knits, and shortened the one in progress by about an inch. It's a tad long on my 5' 4" frame.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I am already working on another one, and I would recommend it. Now, I must share a story with you. I don't think my color choices were great (but as I said I was using up fabric, and this is what I had; call it a muslin). When I put this on my first thought was that it looks like a Star Trek uniform from the television series! Let me emphasize that this is not a flaw in the pattern! I did not occur, btw, to my husband, but he LHAO when I mentioned it, so it seems to be true. Don't let that stop you from making it, just chose other fabric combos!
Conclusion: a winner; new version to be reviewed soon...
