Pattern Description: A simple dress with a lining and invisible zipper
Pattern Sizing: I used a size 10 this time
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes I could follow them on my own the second time around
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the flowing shape. I don't think I need to install an invisible zipper next time. I can easily pull this on over my head.
Fabric Used: I used a stretchy satin and a nice liner.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would like to make this for the summer in a heavier cotton minus the lining.
Conclusion: Love this dress. You can wear it dressy or with leggings for a casual look. And with a little shawl if it is during the day. Or with heals at night for date night!
I sewed a size 10 and much better. Don't forget this is a flowing dress. Great with the zipper or sew the back in one piece without the zipper.
Fun pattern

JUNIPERJUNE said... Thank you very much! I loved learning how to sew a dress with a liner. This pattern was very helpful for that. It can be confusing the first time around. I am sooo thrilled that I made a dress that is cute and fits me. Here it is -38 degrees with the wind, but I will wear it to work tomorrow with purple leggings and the black shawl. I just have to show it off. 1/24/13 8:17 PM

Jane Mary said... Great job! Much better at a size 10. I also find trouble with pattern sizes not matching the description on the envelope to what your measurements really are! Thanks for the detail on your blog! I am going to start this pattern now for my daughter. You were a great inspiration! 3/23/13 9:19 PM
