This is a basic raglan top with front and back gathers on the sleeve.
34-42. I made the size 34 with no alterations.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
It looks very much like the model photo and the line drawing.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't really follow the directions all that much. If you've made a raglan top before, it's easy-peasy. The only hard part I had was making sure that the gathers were even between the left and right side. Because I chose a stripe for the sleeves, it was more difficult to make the gathers even so I didn't look crooked. But really, that wasn't that hard either.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the new twist on a raglan t-shirt. I love raglan tops because I think they made my puny shoulders more broad. The pattern fits well with no tweaks and the sleeves are fun.
I used a striped sweater knit for the sleeves and a dark gray double knit for the main bodice. There is a seam in the back because I didn't have enough fabric to put the back bodice on the fold.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any alterations. I might make this pattern as a dress too. It's too cute to make only one version. The length on this view (I think view 127) is a tunic length. The first one (126?) is a shorter length.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan to sew this again. Perhaps I'll just keep it on my sewing table and make it for the Burda Challenge for February.
