Pattern Description: High waisted a-line skirt with different high waistband options.

Pattern Sizing: 0-18, I made a size 2

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Like most Colette patterns, yes!

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? As I stated the directions were written very well. I especially like the way it has you attach the facing to the skirt with an invisible zipper, but since I was using denim I had to do a lapped zipper application. It went together well and was a very easy pattern.

Fabric Used:mid-weight denim from Joann's

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I chose to do the basic skirt with the basic waistband, nothing fancy. And since I used denim (as I stated above) I had to do a lapped zipper instead.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely sew it again, the shape is classic and made up in different fabrics it can easily be many different skirts! Since the ease of the pattern I would recommend this to beginners especially, but any level will enjoy this pattern.

Conclusion: A great basic high waisted a-line skirt. Great to make basic staples for the wardrobe, but the ability to change it up and make something truly distinctive with waistband and fabric choices! See more pictures on my blog
