Pattern Description:
Tailcoat Blazer Pattern Sizing:
2 - 16 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes it did for the most part Were the instructions easy to follow?
Absolutely not! not clear at all What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Its just slightly different than normal and very flattering.
Fabric Used:
Cashmere for the jacket, silk charmeuse for the lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I altered the collar, added a back stay and hand tailored this jacket as much as possible. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would sew it again in a different colour, I was trying to work out how to add a peplum instead of a tailcoat allowing for the excess fabric at the front fold over to remain flattering. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to tailor a jacket its fairly straighforward and you get a lot of wow for your time! Conclusion:
I love this jacket and am so pleased with all the extra work I put into it, lots of details, alterations here www.achallengingsew.typepad.com if anyone is interested.

I learnt many things from your blog, one being that I must have a go at a jacket soon. Yours is so fabulous. 1/29/13 0:59 AM
