Pattern Description: Using my Wild Ginger software, I drafted a six gore A-line skirt for my 9 year old daughter. I made an underskirt/petticoat with lining fabric trimmed with eyelet lace.
Pattern Sizing: Using the drafting software I selected size 10 but then inputted her measurements so it is custom to her.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? N/A
Were the instructions easy to follow? Wild Ginger has limited instructions with their programs but I did not need any as I designed this and knew how to construct it.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really liked the swing of the skirt
Fabric Used: This is a poly woven fabric that I was given.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: N/A
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes.
Conclusion: As I am sewing for my 9 year old daughter, she has wanted less 'little girls' styles but I still want to keep them age appropriate and modest. This gave her a bit of an older look instead of a dirndl or ruffled skirt but still was good for a young girl.
The skirt is beautiful & your daughter looks very pretty!
