Pattern Description:
"Unisex pullover shirts have extended shoulders and long sleeves. View A has hood and hemmed bottom edge and sleeves. View B has neckband, waistband and cuffs from ribbing. Shirts are very easy to make and have special easy-to-follow sewing instructions." Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL, I made a XS for myself and a M for my husband (pictured) Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I wanted to sew my husband a sweatshirt "exactly like the one he has" and this pattern fit the bill. You cannot find plain, crewneck sweatshirts anywhere any more! So finding this pattern to make for him was the way to go. Fabric Used:
Sweatshirt fleece from Sewzanne's Fabrics and ribbing from Joann Fabrics. Boy, the quality of sweatshirt fleece really varies. I would recommend getting a swatch before you buy. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None for his. I made a crew neck sweatshirt for myself and eliminated the bottom waistband. If I were to make it again, I would add a slit to each bottom side of the shirt. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
If I find a nice quality navy blue sweatshirt fleece, I am prepared to make another one for my husband. This pattern sews up FAST and if you're looking for just a regular old school sweatshirt, this is it. Conclusion:
Another winner from Kwik Sew!

megumi said... I looked at the fleece at Joann's and it was thin and not very stretchy. Of the three swatches from Sewzanne's, one was super thin (I could easily see through it), one was medium thin (I almost went with that one-dusty blue) and the other was the red. The red fabric was a nice thickness and felt like what you would expect a sweatshirt would feel like. 1/28/13 9:51 PM
