Pattern Description: Donna Karen Collection Semi fitted dress with cowl collar.
Pattern Sizing:I have to cut a 14 in Vogue (the girls)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? No
Were the instructions easy to follow?the top was not the skirt
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Love the draping of the neckline
Fabric Used: Matte Jersey Knit (Moderate stretch knit)
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: This is a dress pattern I added a few inches at the bottom of the front and back, top evened it off and made a top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I am embarrassed to say I have about 8 or 9 of these tops in my wardrobe in all colors and prints. If you have this pattern you must make it.
Conclusion: I purchased this pattern because I loved the top. This top works very well with suits. I don't think it will ever go out of style. I have wanted to make the dress, but I did not like the way the bottom portion twist and turned, so I have not made it. I am totally happy with the top. I call it my 1 yard top. If the fabric is light enough you don't have to cut this top on the bias, as the instructions say. I made the mistake of making one of these out of Ponte Knit, cut it on the bias the collar will not drape properly so don't use Ponte.
