This is my entry into One Pattern Many Looks contest, 2013.
My DD needed some more warm tops for this winter and the upcoming spring. I had enough leftover fabric from knit tops I made myself to make 2, and that gave me the idea of making her the same top but in different fabrics. What great timing for this contest! It helped inspire me to come up with more creative ways to use this pattern and my leftover fabrics.

Please see my blog for pictures.

Pattern Description:
Women's T-Shirts
T-shirt with jewel neck (A), mock turtleneck (B), regular V neck (C) or overlapped V neck with decorative buttons (D)
and choice of cap, short, three-quarter or long sleeves.
I made version B with long sleeves.

Blue Ribbed Knit with Butterfly Applique
Burgundy with Leopard Print Ruffles
Yellow Floral with contrasting White

Pattern Sizing:
2 through 22. I cut a size 3 for the yellow floral top, but found it to be just a bit snug and a tad too short. I wanted room for DD to grow, so I cut a 4 for the pastel blue and also the burgundy top.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! And then some!

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, as always, Jaiie has excellent instructions.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
There is nothing to dislike about this pattern. Lots of neckline options, sleeve options, it is perfect for basics, and as I have tried to show, can be dressed up as well!

Fabric Used:
All of the tops are cotton or cotton blends. The burgundy is a really nice jersey, with a great hand. The yellow floral with the white sleeves and turtleneck are cotton blends. The pale blue is a baby-ribbed knit.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
As per the rules for OPML, the only alterations I made were in size (as I got it wrong the first try), and decoration.
For the blue ribbed knot top, it is the basic pattern, with an iron-on applique butterfly on the front.
For the yellow floral, I made the long sleeves and turtleneck pieces out of white, to give it a faux layer effect (looks like a yellow floral T over a white turtleneck.)
For the Burgundy, I added a 3" ruffle in contrasting leopard print to the bottom. This made it more tunic length, as the hem is normally 1.5", and I used a narrow 1/4" seam for the ruffle. I also added 1.5" ruffles to the sleeves, and a little bow on the side of the neckline. I really love how this top came out, kind of dressy. I love animal print on kids, in moderation, I think it's adorable.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I am certain I'll use this pattern again. It is such a basic yet versatile pattern. It is probably my most used pattern at this point (I think I've made 5 tops from it now), and I know I'll make more in the years to come.

Conclusion:
Great pattern, almost a necessity to own!

Thank you! My DD likes the blue with the butterfly applique the best I think, though she also loves the burgundy/leopard, and so do I. :)
