Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?Maybe. The zippers make this pretty distinctive, but I think I would love to have this in leather! With the pants perhaps
Conclusion: I saw this suit in the recent edition of Vogue Sewing Magazine in the fabric store. When I went to the catalog, and found the pattern, I would have never given this pattern a second look. The drawing is terrible in my opinion. The drawing has the zippers unzipped which looks pretty silly to me. The long version of the coat/jacket looks odd and dated to me and Vogue didn't even put the skirt on the drawing. But, when I saw the Vogue magazine version, I was over the moon. This came together fairly quickly and easily, even though the bottom portion is in like 8 pieces. I made it in red for my sorority celebration and I loved it!

I agree 100%. A friend pointed this jacket out to me otherwise I think I, too, would have overlooked it. I need to move this one up higher on my "To Sew"list.

Nice to see this made up and reviewed here. Yours is beautiful and fits so well. Mine is still folded and flat...;-(. Like you it was that white suit. I do like yours so much ... Gotta get moving on mine!
