Pattern Description:
Misses' knit dresses and cowl - collar sewing pattern, Cynthia Rowley Collection.
Pattern Sizing:
HS(6-8-10-12)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. Very easy.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that it was only 4 pieces
Fabric Used:
A couple of my husband's t-shirts used to create a striped fabric
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened the pattern by an inch. But it ended up being another two inches shorter, since my fabric peices weren't long enough. I cut a size 8 throughout. I made viewB with the shorter sleeves, again bcos I didn't have enough fabric and I thought it would be a good way to use the band on the original t-shirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! This is actually my muslin.
Conclusion:
I think I will increase it to a 10 on the hips next time. Although size8 fits me exactly, it looks tight when worn with skinny jeans or anything with a thick waistband. I actually like the shorter length.

	bindurk said... Hi! I'm 5'2". I measured the pattern length and thought it might be better shortened a bit. But the striped fabric I made was shorter than the modified pattern by about 2 inches 1/31/13 12:53 PM
