I was participating in Amy @ Clothhabit's bra sew along. Sewing bras is not as hard as I thought it would be once you have your size figured out. I bought this pattern from a sale rack at Needle Nook Fabric for $1! The copyright on my version was 1980.
Pattern Description: Back Closure, horizontal seamed bra, no underwire.
Pattern Sizing:I made a 32C
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Wow, I have to say I was totally impressed with the fit of this bra. It's super comfortable! I'm not a huge fan of the horizontal seam in this one, but in future ones, I'm going to try to trim that seam down more. I didn't do as good of a job trimming on this one as I could (in fact, I don't think I trimmed at all and the fashion fabric is kind of thick).
Fabric Used: This is made from a kit from Needle Nook Fabrics in Wichita.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:None at all, except I didn't sew adjusters in the straps. I figure since this is custom made to me, I don't really need them.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Absolutely...while the picture on the envelope is very old school, the bra itself is great.
Conclusion: I love this pattern for it's comfort. I must make more.
