Pattern Description: A loose fitting coat. I made the short version with patch pockets.

Pattern Sizing:10 -22. I made size 10 as this was a very roomy coat.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?It looked very like the photo on the envelope particularly as I used a heavy tweed fabric.

Were the instructions easy to follow?The instructions were straightfoward and apart from making sure the lapels were sewn corectly fairly easy to sew.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I was attracted to the photo of a loose fitting casual coat that I could make in a heavy warm wool fabric for winter.

Fabric Used: Harris tweed. This was 36"/90 cm wide so I had to adjust the layoutI I used 5.5 metres.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I made a longer belt which I could tie. The pattern for the short coat was too short as it suggested using a buckle. I topstitched round the lapels to give a sharper edge to the heavy fabric.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I do recommend this coat pattern but as this coat is likely to last me for a while I probably won't make another just yet.

Conclusion: .I thought this was quite an easy winter coat pattern. The loose style, easy fitting sleeves and with no buttons and buttonholes would make it good pattern for a less experienced seamstress.
