| Pattern Description:
Misses' semi-fitted dress with front button/loop closing, has collar, front and back darts on bodice with optional sleeves.
I made dress C, the sleeveless version.
Pattern Sizing:
AX(4-6-8); B(8-10-12); C(10-12-14); D(12-14-16); E(14-16-18)
I cut size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked everything and had no dislikes.
Fabric Used:
Dress #1: Rayon Challis.
Dress #2: Rayon Challis.
Dress #3: Rayon Crepe.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Small bust adjustment was made.
Dress #1 is 8" shorter at hemline and has eight buttons instead of nine.
Dress #2 is 15" shorter, with flat lace hemline and lace-edged collar. It has also eight buttons, instead of nine, spaced identically.
Dress #3 is 8" shorter, with rickrack along the collar edge and the bottom of the skirt. The bodice is lined and the armholes are finished with a self bias binding. It is also worn with a slim tie belt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I think three of this pattern are enough. If you have this out-of-print pattern in your stash or if you can lay your hands on it, I would recommend it.
This dress is easy to make. However, it is time demanding: nine loops to do and nine buttons to install.
Conclusion:
The extrawork is worth it as the final result is lovely.

Your dresses are all lovely. I haven't come across this pattern before and I really like some of the details, especially that upside-down V at the front waist. It's really pretty and your rayon prints look perfect for this dress.

This is my kind of pattern! You have done a great job of making 3 totally different dresses from one pattern. A mini wardrobe! I think my favorite is the flowered dress but all are lovely. Congratulations on your excellent work!
