Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? They looked fine. I did the order of construction differently, so I didn't follow them. I dislike most of the pattern directions for knits, such as double straight stitching the seams and a narrow, double fold hem. These are excellent techniques to use when sewing wovens, but not for knits. I constructed the top entirely on my serger and coverstitched all the hems.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Likes - Interesting hemline, princess seams and cup sized pattern pieces, nice long sleeves. Dislikes - The neckline is VERY low. This isn't obvious from the pattern drawing, but it is evident in the photo on the website. I raised the neckline 1/2 inch, but still have to wear a cami or my bra is visible.
Fabric Used: rayon jersey
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made alterations for fit that are typical for me with Vogue patterns. This includes shortening above the bust 1/2 inch and a small broad back adjustment. Typically I do an FBA, but the D cup pattern pieces work fine for me.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I really like this top, and I may sew it again. The fit is nice, and it provides good coverage over the rear. If I sew it again, I will raise the neckline more however, so that I can wear the top alone. I do recommend it, with the caveat that you check the depth of the neckline.
Conclusion: This is a lovely, versatile pattern that results in an interesting, but not too wacky, top. The neckline was a bit low for me, but otherwise I found the fit of the pattern to be typical for Vogue.
