I used scraps of denim and a pair of old trousers to make this outfit. Doll clothes are great for getting rid of my fabric stash.
I really have no complaint about this pattern except that its not specifically designed for American Girl Dolls. The fit would be fine for most dolls & some stuffed animals. But if you want a more tailored, polished look for AG dolls, some easy modifications can be made.
The vest is pretty simple, and could be drafted by a beginner with no problem. I would recommend adding a vertical dart from the apex of the vest for a more fitted look.
The skirt is another no brainer. You probably don't need a pattern for this. It's 2 squares with an elastic casing.
The purse is adorable, and a quick sew. I hope you enjoy this review. Please feel free to stop by my blog for more details & photos.
super cute. i always have a hard time handling such small seam allowances.
