Pattern Description: Shift dress with a nod towards the '60's
Pattern Sizing: roughly 8-18 but in European measurements so up to a 42/44 I cut the largest size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes absolutely
Were the instructions easy to follow? This pattern comes with a tutorial in the BurdaStyle magazine so, yes, very easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This is a really cute, sassy little dress that is easy to wear and comes together pretty quickly
Fabric Used: I used a felted wool jersey with a slight stretch. Given that the stretch was minimal I treated it as a woven
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None, although it has been suggested that I should lower the neckline ...
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm not one for sewing the same pattern more than once but I think I would give this another go and I would definitely recommend it to others.
Conclusion: I really like this dress, particularly in the very bright red. I wore it to a party for its first "outing" finishing the dress just 50 minutes before the party started. I think it gives me a little shape which is a miracle since I am utterly shapeless ;)
