| I had so much fun making this skirt! It's marked an "easy" pattern but it was just enough of a challenge to be fun and thought provoking. I made a size 12 in the waist, tapering down to an 8 in the hips. (I have a very straight build with few curves, which makes fitting a challenge). Size 12 in the waist was a little big so I took out a half inch on either side. Next time I'll do a 10 and taper to an 8. I made View A and the little ruffle is so flirty and fun, I just love to wear it. I made it out of a 100% wool I bought from....I think Fabric Mart online. I did a full lining as well. I am definitely going to make several more of these skirts. I made the mistake of showing one on facebook and my kids friends are asking me to make them one but it ain't gonna happen. I barely have time to sew for myself. I highly recommend this pattern By the way, view D looks really short but view A's length was perfect on me. I'm 5'3" and nearly goes to my knees. |
