| Pattern Description:
Misses mid-thigh length knit top with ruffled neckline Pattern Sizing:
1-8 W, I used a 6W D cup based on my full bust measurement Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
More or less because I am a D cup and the pattern envelope appears to show someone with a B cup because the band is less defined on her top. Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were ok, but I wouldn't advise a novice seamstress to use this pattern. The most frustrating thing is that the sizing is based on how the finished pattern will fit and suggests that you find a top that you already own and measure it to determine what size to use. "Ain't nobody got time for that"(non-hipsters go to youtube and look this up) so I winged it by using my full bust measurement. It worked out!
The seam allowances are 3/8" and she lets you know several times in Bold, so if you miss it well, I hope your fabric has enough stretch What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I initially made this in tourqouis for DD (although her back is more narrow, we can wear the same size in a top like this). I secretly hoped that she wouldn't like the top but she loved it and said she could wear it as a dress (oh to be nineteen!). I love this top because it totally covers my bum ( "For the love of God put on some real pants and take the phone out of your bra"!)and it looks great with leggings. Another plus is that the ruffle is folded in half, no fussy narrow hems, yay! Speaking of hems I used SewKeyse's 1/2" double sided fusible stay tape to bond the hem before I sewed it. This saves a load of time and frustration.
What I don't like about this pattern are the funky markings for the tucks/pleats. The first time I tried to follow them, but on the second top I made sure the distance was proportionate and called it a day Fabric Used:
ITY Knit from the Spandex Wherehouse in Dallas! Yay! This fabric is incredibly soft and lucious to wear. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only changes were listed in the Like/Dislike section of this review. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I won't swear the I wouldn't sew this again, because it is so darn cute and I think I look really hot wearing it, but for now there are no plans to make another one. Only the experienced seamstress should attempt this alone, novices may have a few problems. Conclusion:
This is a great top to wear with leggings!

Oh now this is cute! Pefect color and anything with ruffles is a winner! I usually stick to the Big 4 pattern companies but I am definitely going to have to broaden my horizon. Nice work!
