Pattern Description:
Short dresses have elastic casings at waist; dresses
Pattern Sizing:
4 - 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? This is my second time to make the pattern. The first time I followed the instructions from beginning to end. This time I had to do my own thing due to my fabric selection.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the style and ease. There is an elastic waistband without excessive gathering. The pattern is quick and easy.
Fabric Used: a Missoni wool knit (crochet) from Mood Fabrics. I lined with a silk knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I followed a different layout by cutting from a single layer of fabric rather than placing on the fold in order to keep the stripes straight. I eliminated the back seam in the bodice and skirt.
I added 4 inches to the length.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I recommend the pattern and hope to sew it again.
Conclusion: The simple silhouette of this pattern is perfect for solids or busy prints! Quick and easy for beginners or more advanced sewers.
