| Pattern Description: Tops with gathered band at waist, 3 versions with neck variations (boat, V or V-overlap) with cut on sleeve variations (kimono, dolman, flounce), one sleeveless with cowl neck. Most reviews are of view A--I made view B, with 3/4 length dolman sleeves and V-neck.
Pattern Sizing: 6-16. No need to do an FBA with this view.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, although my V-neck looks a bit wider and I think the sleeves are more attractive than the pattern drawing would indicate. (They don't seem to sag so low).
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, this is an easy pattern although ITY is not the easiest fabric to sew, especially to gather.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It is very flattering to a large busted figure, surprisingly so. Also very comfortable. I wasn't sure about view B especially regarding the sleeve treatment, which didn't look so great on the envelope. There are only a few reviews of B, but I wanted a longer sleeve for winter. I do like it and will make view A next. If I made the B version again I might narrow the V and not make it so deep. A lot of skin ends up showing.
Fabric Used: ITY from Gorgeous Fabrics. I choose it because it goes with all my neutral pants: gray, brown or black. The print is a large abstract rose in brown on gray and I totally forgot about the possibility of placing the bulls-eye directly on my bust. Luckily avoided it by mere inches.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Added 1 inch of length at waistline. It allows me to raise my arms without showing skin. I did do the ruched sleeve using elastic, which was super easy.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes there's a good reason why this was best of 2011. I made this in sleeveless cowl neck version D.
Conclusion: Very flattering dolman sleeve top and gathered wide waist band. This pattern provides lots of variations of sleeve and neck that can be mixed and matched.

Your top came out great. I want to make View B also in the next week or two, and your review is encouraging. I don't understand why so many patterns have a deep, wide V neckline. Even before reading your review, I had decided to make it higher and narrower. Thanks for the confirmation. I have tried to make another dolman sleeve pattern work, but it has too much fabric under the arms. From your review and others, I believe this pattern will look much better -- and it is hoped without so much fiddling!
