Pattern Description: Fitted retro styled dress with princess seams and a number of neckline options.
Pattern Sizing: I made a size 10.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I color-blocked but other than that, yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the collar options and the pockets. Also the princess seaming is great for a fitted look.
Fabric Used: Gabardine and a cotton/polyester blend linen look fabric.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I decided to line the dress which wasn't in the instructions. I would probably do a few things differently - especially for the zipper treatment but it turned out great in the neckline and armholes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, this is the second time I have made this pattern and I love the options.
Conclusion: The lining really helped give some body to this dress. Since it is fitted, the lining should help it keep its shape. I love how this dress looks with a little sweater or a jacket. It is for my daughter who is a doctor. It will be great under a white coat and she will love the pockets.
Such a fun dress! I love your color choices.
