Pattern Description: Semi-fitted dress with front pleats, dolman sleeves, and back darts.
Pattern Sizing: Offered in sizes 6 through 22. I made a 16/18.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, although I omitted the zipper and the back slit and changed the construction order slightly.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that this dress is simple and quick to make. It's flattering and comfortable and the bodice has plenty of coverage in the front. No dislikes.
Fabric Used: Black and white leopard print ponte knit from Hancock's.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I cut a 16 from neck to hip and an 18 from the hip down. I ended up taking the shoulders/sleeves up by about 1.25" to get the right fit. I could have gotten away with a 16 through the skirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I might sew it again, you never know. I do recommend it to others.
Conclusion: This is a great pattern for a simple, quick dress. A beginner could handle this easily. See my blog for more pics and info.
