Pattern Description:
Misses' loose-fitting pullover dress, has empire waist, V-neckline with optional extended shoulders, front and back gathers on bodice, A-line skirt and back ties.
Pattern Sizing:
HH (4-6-8-10-12); R5 (14-16-18-20-22)
I made view A.
I cut size 12 (with shoulders and bodice side seams being an 8).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the extended shoulders with the opening slits.
I like the centre front seam and gathers on bodice.
I also like how the neckline, the armholes and the shoulder slits are finished.
And finally, I like the A-line skirt.
Fabric Used:
Dress #1: Linen-Rayon blend.
Dress #2: Rayon Crepe.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Dress #1 was lengthened by 2 1/2" and V-neck raised by 1 3/4".
Dress #2 was lengthened by 2" and V-neck raised by 2 3/4".
I sewed size 12, but shouders and bodice side seams were sewn two sizes smaller (8).
I graded out the skirt from 8 to 12 down to the hemline.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would recommend this pattern to all. It was quite easy, fast and simple to make.
I have already sewn two and presently I am working on the sleeveless style (view D).
Conclusion:
These dresses are very comfortable and easy to wear. The back ties are practical as they adjust the fit nicely.
