Pattern Description: semi fitted, straight leg pants with contour waistband
Pattern Sizing: I made about a size 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that this is a easy pants pattern to adapt to Palmer/Pletsch fitting techniques: the waistband has side seams and there are no pockets.
Fabric Used: Stretch denim
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made a mock front fly and left out the fly protector.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have made it twice and will make them again. I wholeheartedly recommend this pattern as a place to start for someone learning pants fitting. Details of the fitting changes I made per Palmer/Pletsch's book 'Pants for Real People' are at the links below.

Aixoise said... Both pairs look really good, just two different fits - the second pair fits more like slacks; the first pair fits more like trousers in the legs. They both look comfortable and good on you. 2/12/13 2:02 PM

Sewtox said... Thank you so much for sharing this, both pairs look great. I had been avoiding the challenge of trousers (pants!), but recently they have been calling, so I will arm myself with Palmer & Pletsch and your review/blog and start the assault course! 2/13/13 4:50 AM
