Pattern Description:
Girl's/Girl's Plus princess seamed dress with single or double flounce. Pattern Sizing:
Girls 8-16 1/2 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
uhmmm, I don't know, I didn't use them. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love how quickly this came together because I had forgotten that I was supposed to make this for DGD's choir performance. All total I think it took four or five hours to make. Fabric Used:
Duchess satin that was left over from friend Barbie's bridesmaid dresses, that was purchased from BridalFabric.com, and glitter organza purchased at Joann's. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
It is so awesome that I didn't need to make any alterations; however, I increased the length of the facings by 4 inches so that they would stay put.(A trick I learned when I took pattern making at El Centro, thanks Fran!) Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, but I have to do it fast, DGD is growing up! Conclusion:
The payoff for whipping this out for DGD, priceless. She is always very proud to tell her teachers and friends that Mama Tia made her dress.
She looks so cute in her 'made by Mama dress! Love the pattern-so glad you reviewed it!
