Pattern Description:
"Design your look...with mix & match pattern pieces" dress pattern.
Pattern Sizing:
8-18. I made size 14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Not exactly since I changed the sleeves and the placket on the bodice. But the rest of the dress does. Were the instructions easy to follow?
They weren't exactly easy but they weren't difficult after reading through them a couple of times. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that you can mix and match different parts to design which dress look you want to make. I chose to make the flutter sleeves but didn't like how they looked once they were finished so I sewed bias tape and inserted 1/4" elastic to the bottom of the sleeves to change the look. Fabric Used:
a silky type polyester that I purchased from JoAnn Fabrics. It snagged easily and puckered at time when I was sewing so by the end of the dress, I was not a fan of it. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I changed the sleeves, lengthened the dress by 2", and ended up hand sewing the placket opening closed (I was making the dress with the V style neckline) because the corners of the bodice placket were curling outward unattractively. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might sew it one more time using a different bodice.
