Pattern Description:
Sleeveless round neck top ... Nice long length Pattern Sizing: 16 .. No alterations ...
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes it did look like the drawing Were the instructions easy to follow?
very What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
speed ... Is is about 42 degrees here and I am nearly out of smart summer tops - so I need to make some quickly. This is the first if two or three such tops. Fabric Used:
Liberty Tana Lawn - the photo is actually just the link to the actual fabric I used Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
none made Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
yes and yes But next time I will make sure the pattern of the fabric is not UPSIDE DOWN. My (uber stylish) husband likes the top but prefers it with a (yet to be made) dark khaki drill cotton skirt instead of the sky blue I had envisaged ..( and begun making) ... So the dark khaki ( which he calls 'greeny chocolate and matches that necklace we bought for you in China ) skirt is now cut out ready to sew tomorrow ( he also told me 'oh but don't wear that top with your Nana pearls - just don't).( told you he was stylish!) . Conclusion:
Pretty, pretty top - but when will I learn that pretty tana lawn prints are just not my thing? Even when bought from the sale table at Tessuti ? They make me look frumpy, extremely fat and very old - older than your Grandmother! I have a number of choices 1. Wear it around the house ( sounding good) 2 cut it up for something else. Think I will stick with number 1 .. Sigh and there are two more (minimum) to go ... Think i'lll have lots of lovely 'house tops' this summer!
