This lovely nursing and non-nursing hoodie has been reviewed 15 other times so I doubt that there is much to add ... not that that will stop me from adding my two cents worth.
I sewed this fairly lightweight acrylic sweater knit in the hip length version of the non-nursing style. Believe it or not, the colors are turquoise, black, lime green, beige and gray not the blue that my cell phone captured.
Since I am hippy, I worried that the shape of the hoodie would accentuate what I normally attempt to hide but, Jalie to the rescue. It hits just below the tush -- hooray. After trying several different ways to cut the pocket, I decided to go vertical with the print instead of matching it. No good reason; just me. It is very comfortable to wear and I can see more in the future. I will have DD try it on to see how she likes it and possibly then make the nursing version for her. Baby is due next week!
As usual, Jalie's instructions are excellent with clear illustrations and writing. I believe I will go down a size in the shoulders for a non-sweater knit. The wrong side of the hood shows and I will see how much that bothers me and if it is worth fixing. Otherwise, I love it. Easy to sew and quick too.
