Pattern Description:
Misses pants and shorts Pattern Sizing:
8 to 16 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
I found the fly front no problem. I have never done one that I can remember. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
That its an easy pattern. Fabric Used:
I think its cotton twill? I know at my local Joann Fabrics, it was in the "bottom" weight fabrics. I felt a few and got one that didn't feel like cardboard. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Only alterations I made was to read on line and adjust them according to every web site I could find on how to make pants and the adjustments you need for a "pear" shape. Then I think I got that pretty good, but they were very loose in the legs. So back to the internet and more adjustments. I think they crinkle in the front a little, but I wore them a whole day (before pictures) and they felt fine. Maybe I need the adjust the crotch curve in the front? If anyone reads this, let me know what changes I may need, please! Oh, I made them a bit longer. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I already have bought another fabric to make the shorts with the pleats view D on the pattern. Conclusion:
I wanted to try my hand at making pants/shorts and this pattern gives me the opportunity with the shorts without going broke on fabric. It doesn't use much fabric for the shorts.

That is a complicated pattern for first shorts! I plan on sewing elasticized waist pull-on shorts when I get around to sewing shorts. Looks like you did a great job. Sorry I can't help with fit issues but there is a whole thread on pants sewing and perhaps someone there can help. Good luck!

thanks for the review. It does say easy (ha ah) I am in the middle of the other shorts from this pattern right now, and keep thinking easy for whom? I think I figured out fitting issue with this pair of shorts, I need a bit more in the rear crotch, but too late. There is always a next pair right!

Sherts are the perfect way to dip your toes into pants-making. It difficult to self-photo so they are a little blurry on my end but appear to be a very good fit.
