? 10 but I added a bit Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes except I wore it back the front and made it in sequins Were the instructions easy to follow?
very What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
old faithful ! Fabric Used:
Black sequined fabric with sill satin lining which I quilted to the sequined fabric. Sash in black silk satin Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Instead of buttons and buttonholes I just sewed the closure shut. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes .. I was invited to a 'Downton Abbey' new years eve party and needed a stylish very dressy outfit to wear. I tracked down this old faithful pattern, raided the stash for remnants from the Tessuti table , then cut out, quilted and sewed the dress in new years eve itself ( well during the day) ... The dress was a smash hit and people were agog that I had made it that day (we had only got home from interstate the night before) ... A smash hit dress in a to ally unexpected fabric that was delightfully cool for a scorcher of a New Years Eve. I will now put sheer black sleeves in it so I can wear it out for dinner etc ... Not sure what to do about the sash now ! Conclusion:
Would love to see pictures of the dress and the pattern.
