Pattern Description: Long-sleeved top with a cowl neck
Pattern Sizing: 34-44. I made a 40, graded to a 42 and the waist, then to a 44 at the hip.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are sparse but complete... this may be frustrating for very new seamstresses but not that huge a problem.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like where the cowl hits in the chest, not to high or too low. There are a million cowl top patterns and this one is pretty great compared to the others. The only dislike is the terse directions.
Fabric Used: A modal spandex rayon knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added clear, wide elastic to the shoulder seam to stabilize it. I left the hems all raw since this fabric works well this way. I went down a size from what the size chart recommended... I used a four-way stretch knit with about 60% stretch and knew it would be too large otherwise.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I'd sew this again. It was fast and easy! I recommend this one, especially if you want to test My Image patterns for the first time.
Conclusion: A basic top I'll wear a lot. See more on my blog.
