Pattern Description:
Waterfall cardigan with cut on sleeves and self tie belt
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes and now. The style, yes. But, because I used a much thicker fabric than recommended, no.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, very easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the cut on sleeves and the simple finishing technique for the hem. I also like the folded / integrated collar.
Because of the thicker material I used, the pattern does cause a lot of bulk at the waist.
Fabric Used:
Geometric sweater knit from Mood Fabrics at $18 a yard. It's a nice thick wool that makes this sweater wonderfully warm.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Not many. I did sew the underarm seam up higher. It was too gapey as drafted.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Maybe... in something thinner for summer. I think it's a great winter topper for jeans and casual weekends to look pulled together.
